CONS to living Tiny - going deeper into the subject...

~ by Eve McLain Newsom

* If you don’t like being alone, you ain’t gonna dig the tiny lifestyle!

(Living tiny isn’t all Unicorns eatin’ flowers & poopin’ rainbows!).... The Glam-Mads (Not MY term, but a popular term for the 'glamorous Nomads’ that have taken over the tiny space movement!) on YouTube that ain’t gonna share all of the RAW realities of tiny living, ‘cuz they’re too busy fillin’ your Heads with Instagram pretty pictures filled with gorgeous scenic states and idyllic living fluff....  fulla T&A and AirBnB in Tijuana Mexico nonsense! You’re gonna have to DEAL with YOU in a tiny space.... and if you had problems BEFORE going tiny..... amplify those by all the things you have to learn in order to live tiny ‘successfully!’.... such as where you’re gonna park your tiny space.... there’s zoning issues pertaining to the same depending upon what State and county you live in.... You have DAILY problems regarding Weather, drinking & bathing Water, heating & air..... whether you have adequate insulation to KEEP that tiny space free from heat, cold, condensation, mold, insects...

Pests EVEN!....  like Rats & Mice...

Wood structures will have to struggle with termites.... Carpenter Ants & just ANTS in general! (They’re a daily reality and a PLAGUE to tiny living Life!)

Depending upon where you live, larger Pests like Coyotes, and even worse, BEARS!

Where you gonna store your food in that tiny space? Cook? Poo? (Yes, Poo!) Bathe?

These are MAJOR issues you have to ask yourselves Peeps before you do this!

* Personal Safety....
If you live alone, you gotta have some means of protection. Not judgin’ about what method you choose, just some work and most don’t.

* Waste disposal

* Getting your ‘basic’ creature comforts met living tiny is going to be something you have to consider every single day..... (Roof over head, food on table, stable heating & cooling methods, restroom needs, bathing,  storage of foods.... ability to pay utilities and bills... gas... etc.

* SAVE!!!!!! Live within your means, have a back-up savings or some sort of emergency funds that you WILL need at one point or another.

* Your Family will probably not help you because they already know you’re NUTS for even doing something this crazy!!!

*Nomad (I ain’t namin’ names!) will have you believin’ “everybody” can do this... and I’m here to tell you NO!.... not everybody can do this... in fact.... VERY FEW People can do this!

Why? Because a ‘lack of funds’ will prevent most.... Without some form of steady-stream ‘income’ to meet all of the creature comforts listed above, you’ll be HOMELESS & destitute in no time livin’ in a tent or outta your Car!

* WHEN you get sick! (And you WILL) get sick.... all of the topics covered above are going to be more difficult to deal with.

The ONE THING you can count on, is you won’t be prepared for many things!

The THINGS you definitely have NO CONTROL over....

Lack of funds & resources.....

 (lack of!) WIFI reception .... (Talk to your wireless cell carrier ... I have Verizon service... for options).... you can use your phone as a Wifi hot to power your TV, iPads, Laptops, desktops... Friend’s cells... etc) - Quality is definitely contingent upon how close you are to the cell phone towers....

Weather
Break downs
Health
Lack of Human support
... among other things I will cover in future Videos so as not to BORE the pants off ya'all right now!

* I can’t possibly cover every scenario here, but these what I consider to be some of the more important things.

* Living tiny is definitely more.... when you have the funds to cover your basic creature comforts..... (roof over head, food on table, utilities such as gas, credit cards, etc).... Air & heat to stay comfortable and healthy.... emergency funds.... (for WHEN the emergency comes... because it will!)

But! failing to plan to live tiny and confronting the realities of the many challenges that are inherent to tiny living, is planning to fail..... so, hang in there.... do your research & homework.... and most importantly.... stay safe.

Before you leave, please thumbs up, comment on,  and share my YouTube Channel.... May Christ bless each & every one of you most abundantly... and I’ll be catching you on the flip-flop!
